FIREFLY STUDIOS (P) LTD. was co-founded by Prabhakar Chettri, Sichu Khairgoli and Yalamber Khairgoli in 2006 and later joined by Diwakar Chettri and Situ Khairgoli in 2007. Our joint effort first started out as a production centre for animated shorts, TV commercials, Multimedia Presentation Development and Graphic Designs for print and web. But since the beginning of the year 2007, the team, here at Firefly Studios, has been working tirelessly to produce and develop the mechanisms of computer generated animations to produce feature length productions for the Nepalese audience.

FIREFLY STUDIOS is supported by a range of vertically integrated studio facilities for 2D/3D Animation, Post Production, Visual FX and Sound Design and Music. The production house uses the latest Digital Technology to provide boundless creative solutions for the new generation animation production and broadcast media.

We have a full-fledged production system equipped with high technology workstations, catering to the global animation industry. Our deliverables are 2D and 3D animations for short and full-length productions.

We believe that the establishment of Firefly Studios is a milestone in the history of animation industry in Nepal. One of our animated shorts, “Afai lai Biswas Garena Bhanay” (If you do not trust yourself) was first broadcast on Kantipur Television in 2006. That was the first nepali computer generated animated short ever to be broadcast in Nepal.
